The More Birthdays I Have, The More I Love Life!

Hi! I’m Catherine. I’ve had 55 birthdays and I’m in love with life! But that hasn’t always been the case …

I grew up in country NSW and had an almost idyllic childhood – a loving family, great friends and not a care in the world … until the day before my 12th birthday when everything changed forever. My gorgeous, vibrant, life-loving mother suddenly passed away at the age of 36 – no warning, no nothing. With us one day and gone forever the next.

My whole world shut down. I shut down. It was as though the lights of my life were suddenly turned off and I was left in the dark to fend for myself. I didn’t know what to do. Everyone was dealing with their own grief, and weren’t in a place to help me deal with mine.

I literally had no clue what to do, so I got on with life as though nothing had happened. But something very big had happened – the lights of my life had gone out and so did the light of my spirit.

And that’s how I lived my life growing from a young child and teenager through my adult years. I lived life full of emotions but not knowing what to do with them. I felt it wasn’t ok to ever be happy again, bottling everything up feeling incredibly sad and unhappy.

No one really helped me along the way or believed in me – I felt forgotten and unimportant. I became strong and got on with life, but was sh*t scared and hurting deep inside. I wore my mask well.

One day early in a career I was not good at and did not enjoy, I felt for the first time that there was more to life and I no longer wanted to live filled with sadness and uncertainty. I wanted to experience joy and laughter and happiness. I wanted more for myself and the life I was living.

From that day, I made the decision to enjoy what life had to offer.

Things began to change and doors started opening. I found a career and business I’m as passionate about today as I was 30 years ago – helping people transform their lives. I started a family of my own and began to awaken in so many beautiful and glorious ways. I started to release the years of built up emotions and felt so much lighter and happier – the lights of my life and the lights of my spirit started to reignite … and it felt so good!

I started to think about what legacy I wanted to leave in this lifetime and that is to help make a difference in the lives of others – to help others to be happy and live extraordinary lives. This sparks joy and lights me up, so much so, I’ve not only built my business around those tenets, I live my whole life by them too.

I’m now doing for others what I wish someone had done for me way back when I was 12 - seeing the beauty and potential within; believing in them and helping them on their own mission of discovery to be the person they want to be and live the life they want to live … and it feels so good!

Research shows us that the most successful entrepreneurs are middle age and beyond. Looks like my life story and the events from my past have lead me to the place I need to be – sharing the wisdom of my ages, running a business devoted to helping others be happy and successful, and being madly in love with life. And all it took was one decision – the decision to be happy and enjoy life!

If life isn’t what you’d like it to be and you’re not feeling satisfied with any element of life, let’s chat. I know what it’s like to live in darkness and I also know what it’s like to live in the sparkly, luminescence that life can offer. The latter is the place I choose to live. I can help you live there too!

Here’s to your happiness – may you find it and live it every day 😊
